"Finn noir" with strong visualization by Hällström. High melodrama about a man playing with the hearts of women. The heroine is a department store clerk, also fighting a manager's unwanted advances. Good actors, violent turns, exciting montages, expressive images and objects, Zeitgeist appeal in a story covering the years 1939 till the present.
