Le Giornate del Cinema Muto: Cinema delle origini.
A chromolithographic loop of 60 frames on a DCP from Deutsches Filminstitut DIF.
Screened at Teatro Verdi, Pordenone, no text, grand piano: John Sweeney, 1 Oct 2016.

Scheduled to be screened as the first movie at this year's Giornate, this charming animation takes us to the period of transition from the many forms of moving images that preceded the cinema proper. A series of twenty one-minute movies were screened during the Festival.

Actually this vignette was screened as the last feature of the 14:30 screening, after Ludzie bez jutra.

Beautifully restored and rescued to the modern audience by Deutsches Filminstitut DIF.
